Dark Outdoors is a podcast covering true crime, wildlife attacks and strange occurences in the great outdoors. It is hosted by award-winning wildlife journalist Chester Moore.
Dark Outdoors has won multiple awards from the Press Club of Southeast Texas including "Best Investigative Podcast" and "Overall Podcast Excellence."
"I kept running into dangerous situations in the great outdoors and hearing things not reported by mainstream outdoors sources," Moore said.
"And then I was doing a feral hog seminar and someone asked me what I considered the most dangerous thing in the woods.."
He answered, "People."
The room got quiet and then people started sharing their stories of wild encounters with dangerous people.
"At that point I knew I had to dig deeper and I decided to make it a podcast to bring others along for the journey."
